This stuff has so much hype surrounding it, I feel like this post should be accompanied by an aura, singing angels, and trumpets announcing it’s arrival to my blog. So let me tell you why it’s here. My hairdresser has been using this on my hair for my blow outs for the last year and half. She told me that the whole salon loved it and the colorist use it as a pre treatment before coloring and I could use it at home a pre conditioning treatment before I washed my hair. I was going to buy it, but since they were sold out, I settled for the Silk Oil Cameillia Smoothing Fluid. I was just looking for something to help keep my hair straight and the frizzies away. Like Kerastase Serum Nutri-Sculpt , or Aveda Anti-Humectant . As time went on, I never got this because of price, and while I liked the silky affect it left on my straight hair, I just couldn’t figure out how to use it on my curly hair, until last weekend.

I was staying at my friends house, who happens to go to the same hairdresser, and she had this on her counter. She mentioned how soft it made her hair and how much she loved it, sans price. So, before I washed my hair, I put in about two pumps as a pre-poo and washed my hair with Hair One, Sally’s alternative to Wen, as normal. Instantly I noticed how soft my hair felt and how easy it was to detangle. I still wasn’t convinced. After I washed my hair, I put in two more pumps before I diffused it. OMG! Here is when I noticed the difference. My hair was so soft, shiny, my curls were defined, and the Gray’s were tamed, all without my hair feeling greasy. I didn’t even need an additional product. Normally, I’ll use Hair One as a leave-in, with another product to smooth the grays, and tame any flyaways. I didn’t need it this time. Here is my hair later that night.

I was impressed, but I only used it once, and have to play around with it to really see how I like it. But so far so good. Since I only used it once, I can’t say if I think it’s worth the hefty price tag. However, I liked it enough to purchase it in the future. In the mean time, I will start using jojoba oil again and search for alternatives, because I noticed a few ingredients I didn’t care for; particularly those pesky silicones. I’d rather use a product that had more oil and less silicones. So, my search begins.

Here are the ingredients:
cyclopentsiloxane, dimethiconol, camellia kissi/camellia kissi seed oil, ethylhexylmethoxycinnamate, butylphenyl methylpropional, hexyl cinnamal, hydroxycitronellal, parfum/fragrance.

Here is what they say about it on the website.
